SES Global FZE, a leading provider of dimmers, motor controllers and power distributors have already made inroads in the Saudi market. They signed an initial order with Protec fully equip their new set up in Saudi Arabia. This order, valued at just over AED 750,000 was the first order for the new SES FLX dimmer system in the region.
After trialling the unit at the recent Tomorrowland production, Protec’s Head of Lighting Aaron Russ was impressed with how easy the system was to use. The ability to switch each channel between a dimmer and dmx operated relay gives maximum flexibility in one unit. The order is made up of a number of these multi channel racks, traditional hard power socapex units and also the new SES motor controllers. The order is the first of a two part process, firstly to kit out the Saudi operation and then to upgrade the existing Dubai based stock.
Gordon Cooper, Group Director of SES Global said: “We are always looking to expand our customer base not only in the UAE but the whole Middle East Region. Dubai is key to the region having most of the highly-skilled technicians and kit available to serve this ever growing industry. Power generation is a definite growing market in the region, with investment to match, and this is a target market for us.
“As SES Global introduces more technical products to its range, we will be targeting more and more high profile production companies with these items. With 2020 in mind and the massive amount of product that will be required to host what will be a very impressive World Expo, getting our product range and infrastructure in place by 2019 is key,” Cooper said.
Prolight + Sound Middle East 2018, will return with the Events, Technology and Entertainment Development Forum, a three-day conference and workshop discussing key trends and strategies in executing world-class events and iconic attractions.
Also making a comeback this year will be the successful Dante training workshop by Audinate, where AV professionals can gather more in-depth knowledge about key design concepts and common technologies deployed in typical medium-sized Dante networks.
